The TEDC, a 4B Corporation, provides financial assistance to qualifying expanding, new, or relocating companies in the form of cash grants for projects that create or retain primary jobs (table of primary jobs below). The TEDC also assists with funding infrastructure costs for eligible projects.
The TEDC can assist with the following:
Land, buildings, equipment, facilities, improvements, and expenditures related to: manufacturing, industrial, research & development, recycling, small warehouse/storage and corporate headquarter facilities.
Distribution centers
Infrastructure assistance to commercial projects
The land, buildings, equipment, facilities, expenditures, approved infrastructure*, and improvements found by the Board of Directors to promote new or expanded business development in the City of Tomball.
*Approved infrastructure expenditures are: streets and roads; rail spurs; water, sewer, gas, and electric utilities; drainage; site improvements; and, telecommunications and Internet improvements.
The assistance is for exterior construction costs, not interior work.
