Congressman Brady tours Packers Plus headquarters in Tomball Business & Technology Park

Congressman Kevin Brady visited the Packers Plus U.S. headquarters located in Tomball’s Business and Technology Park to view how the company’s business diversification efforts are helping Packers Plus emerge as a significant player in the international oil and gas service industry.

With oil and gas prices remaining steady at low prices, companies producing oil and gas are experiencing price pressures and looking to service suppliers for help. Packers Plus entered the oil and gas market in 2000 as a company that provides solutions to stimulate and improve production from horizontal, vertical and high-pressure oil and gas wells. Packers Plus President and CEO Ian Bryant told Congressman Brady that Packers Plus has invested significantly in research and development to diversify the company’s service offerings.

“If we can bring our customers innovations that save them money and time, that helps them address price pressures facing the oil and gas industry,” Bryant said.

“By broadening our product portfolio through innovative research and development right here in Tomball, Texas, Packers Plus will help our customers solve well completion issues in a changing and challenging market,” Bryant added.

Packers Plus, a Canadian-based corporation, was the first company to purchase property in the Tomball Business and Technology Park, purchasing over 17 acres in 2015. The company built a 50,000-square-foot research and development facility in 2016. SUEZ, a French-based water treatment company, constructed a 45,000-square-foot research and development laboratory in the Business and Technology Park during 2017. Tomball Economic Development Corporation sold four lots in 2018 and is negotiating with several additional companies to establish facilities in the Business and Technology Park in 2019-2020.

“The Business and Technology Park is an example of the great things going on in Tomball,” Congressman Brady told Packers Plus executives and Tomball city and business leaders.

In the fourth quarter of 2018, another congressional member representing Tomball, Congressman Michael McCaul, visited and toured Packers Plus, as well as SUEZ’s Water Technologies and Solutions facility in the park.

Visits by Congressmen Brady and McCaul were arranged by Tomball Economic Development Corporation and the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce. Brady represents Texas’ 8th District and McCaul Texas’ 10th District in the U.S. Congress. Each represents part of Tomball in their Congressional district.
