Tomball EDC to Host Governor’s Small Business Service Provider Workshop

The Tomball Economic Development Corporation, in partnership with the Governor’s Office, the Texas Workforce Commission, Lone Star College Business Success Center, and the North Houston Association, will be co-hosting a Governor’s Small Business Service Provider Workshop on Monday, October 30th from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Beckendorf Conference Center at Lone Star College – Tomball, 30555 Tomball Parkway, Tomball, TX 77375. 

Local entrepreneurs, small business owners, service providers, and stakeholders are invited to attend the workshop and can register here. The event is free and will include breakfast and lunch for attendees. Guests will hear from a variety of local and state experts as they share their insight and experiences on building small business capacity and resources available in the community.

“We are very excited to host the Governor’s Small Business Service Provider Workshop in Tomball,” said Kelly Violette, executive director of the Tomball Economic Development Corporation.  “It is an honor to have such a beneficial event here and we are looking forward to highlighting the resources that the region and the state of Texas has to offer small business owners and local stakeholders.”

Keynote speakers include Tim Jeffcoat, District Manager for the SBA Houston Office, Gretchen Fagan, Mayor of the City of Tomball, and Kim Hunziker of the Texas Workforce Commission’s Employers Initiatives. Presentations will cover finance, workforce, and business best practices. In addition, the workshop service provider expo will feature state agencies and other organizations to provide support for small businesses and to help build capacity amongst local service providers.
